This article gives an overview of the different configuration scenarios and later describes Citrix product-specific configuration steps. We assume that you basically understand how NoTouch OS is configured and especially how server connections are created and configured. The Citrix Workspace App for Linux differs in many aspects from the Windows-based Receiver, not only in terms of look&feel, but also in terms of available features and even bugs.
== Citrix-based connection modes configuration scenarios in NoTouch for XenApp and XenDesktop ==The following options are available how to configure the system:
Yes* Go directly into one published resource, you can use the web browsere.g. However, we find that many people rather prefer a more "direct" approachfullscreen desktop* Present a choice to users for multiple available resources, letting users connect e.g. published applications* Use Firefox or Chromium web browsers and enter their credentials without going through a web log in via browser. Several different session modes exist to facilitate different ways of using Citrix (note that * Use the "published applicationselfservice" can also refer GUI to provide a full desktop). The most important two are:browser-like experience
* Citrix/StoreFront. The mode of choice for using NoTouch with StoreFront (NoTouch 2.40.188 or later). Please note that NoTouch OS configures the full Citrix client for each session. Citrix makes On most modern PCs a browser is a different between client good choice, and session parameters, whereas NoTouch OS allows to set everything as session-dependent parameter. This gives you more flexibility, but could lead to problems in cleans out the rare case when several Citrix sessions with conflicting sessions are supposed to be started at environment after the same timebrowser is closed. At On older systems or the Raspberry Pi you may find a browser solely for the end purpose of the daylogging in uses too many resources, it is always the client originating an ICA connection to a terminal server, no matter what session mode you use, what Citrix products you usethough.
One thing not mentioned in the list above is the possibility == Citrix Workspace App ==In most cases a connection of starting type Citrix/StoreFront and a browser on the desktop device and have the user connect via browser; NoTouch OS considers this Citrix URL as connection target are enough to successfully run a browser session - see FirefoxCitrix client.
